James the Red Engine who is battery powered, can clickety-clack down the track all by himself! James can even pull passenger cars or cargo cars with his magnet on the end! James features an easy-to-push start and stop button, sturdy diecast metal construction, powerful 4-wheel drive, a headlight and a free wheeling feature that allows for non-battery play. In the Thomas & Friends series, James the Red Engine, pulls both trucks and coaches but would rather just pull coaches. James feels a bit superior to other engines and therefore sometimes treats Edward, the diesels and others with disrespect. However, James encounters situations that humble him and he must admit that other trains aren't so bad. Battery Powered James requires 1 AA battery, not included. Battery powered James is compatible with the Thomas Wooden Railway, BRIO, Lionel Express Track and most other wooden railway systems.
